Gearing Up with RAILBLAZA

By now I’m sure almost all our readers are familiar with the RAILBLAZA range of kayak accessories, here’s a bit about what they’ve been up to recently. If you don’t know who they are, I’m not sure where you’ve been hiding, but reading on will fill a big gap in your knowledge of high quality kayaking accessories.

RAILBLAZA is a bulletproof mounting system that’s fully manufactured in New Zealand. This means you’re getting high quality materials and workmanship, basically a mounting system that won’t let you down. All their products are tested in the harsh NZ environment, so we’re comfortable in the knowledge they’ll handle the Aussie sun and surf, and even after years of use they’ll be as good as the day they were new.

Based around their innovative StarPort® mount, all RAILBLAZA products come ready-to-fit, with any screws that might be required supplied in the kit. They now have a mount that will fit almost anywhere, from flat surfaces to rails, tracks, and even mildly curved surfaces, whether you have access to the rear of the surface you’re mounting on, or not. They’ve even expanded their range of stick-on mounts recently to include the QuikPort, a smaller stick on StarPort® that’s handy for so many things.

Since it’s inception in 2010, RAILBLAZA has become the most popular product to hold things on to Aussie kayaks. In the early days their range was only small, and would hold fishing rods, paddles, spear guns, ropes and drinks. Over the past seven years they have built up a solid product development team, and they now have anglers testing their new developments right here in Australia, as well as the USA, Europe, and of course NZ. This has led to the range growing very fast, and there is now a RAILBLAZA product for most things you need to hold on to your yak.
